Accessorial (Additional) Services Charges
Fees that are charged for services such as sorting, packing, unpacking, appliance servicing, additional pickups, elevator carrying and shuttle services. The charges for these services are to be paid in addition to shipping rates.

Advanced Charges (Third Party Service Charges)

The advanced charges are for services which are performed by the third party. This third party will be roped into the contract for on customer request and the services charges of this company will be paid by the moving company. And these charges will be added to your Bill of Lading by the movers.

Agent
The local moving company which is authorized to run business activity on behalf of larger and national moving company. This agent holds all the interactions of customer and company.

Appliance Service
The mover offers a service of disconnecting the appliances and reconnecting them at the new house. Those appliances can be refrigerators, washing machines, dryers and dishwasher. These service charges are separate from transportation cost and will be presented in a separate bill. If a moving company doesn’t offer this service then the field will be marked as NA.

Appliance Dolly

A wheeled device used to move heavy appliances like refrigerators, freezers and also oversized furniture. This will be supplied by self-service movers and it allows a single person to perform the task with an ease.

Assessed Value Coverage

This defines how much percentage of amount to be paid per $1000 of assessed value to cover your household items with fully assessed coverage. The items you are moving need a cash value assessment to purchase this protection plan. And if any deductible is applicable then that sum is stated next to the cost-per-$1000. Most assessed valuation policies require covering the entire load.

Operating Authority (Authentication)

It is a certificate for moving companies to operate in certain nominated areas while transporting a shipment. Either state or federal regulators provide this authentication.

Bill Of Lading (BOL, B/L, Waybill, Receipt and Lading Bill)

This is a binding contract between the customer and a mover. A binding contract is a flat price quote provided to the customer with respect to your inventory with an onsite estimation. So, their quotes aren’t subject to change. Do understand the bill of lading before signing it.

Carrier

Carrier is the moving company which will be hired to ship the belongings.

Carrier Packed
This term is used when the belongings packed into boxes or cartons by the moving company.

Cash on Delivery

In this, the customer makes a payment after receiving the belongings at the prescribed location. Most of them accept cash, check or credit card payments.

The articles which value more than $100 per pound in a shipment.

Hour Rates

These rates are applied for intrastate moving and it is accounted as the number of hours of a truck per mover.

Inventory

A mover submitted document that details the list of your belongings received and also describes the condition of each of your goods.

Interstate Move

This move is not accounted under the distance you moved, instead it is defined as the move that crosses the state boundary.

Intrastate Move

This move is operated over 40 miles and it does not cross any state boundary.

International Move

The relocation takes place while moving to another country.

License
